Power of God for All Believers

Sun in hands.I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first the Jews, then the Gentiles.  For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from the first to the last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” (Romans 1:16,17)

A name change…A change of desire.

Once Paul left his life of Saul, he became a passionate servant of Christ.  These verses were part of his letter longing to visit Rome.  We have a world all the way down to our neighbors in need of such a letter. This part of the letter informs:

  1. Salvation is for all who believe.
  2. The word of God (gospels) is the power of God for all believers.
  3. A righteousness from God is revealed
  4.  The righteous will live by faith.

This looks pretty simple.  Why is this hard for so many?  A blinding light for 3 days caused Saul to gain revelation of the power of God. His name was then changed to Paul. God does not send everyone a blinding light nor change their name. I know sometimes we wish He would!  However, we do have to make a conscious decision just like Paul to keep following. His environment did not change.  The world affairs kept going as they were.  Paul kept moving forward with the message of Christ.

2013

Many are expressing excitement with the new year.  Nothing is different from December 31 to January 1.   Where is the new coming from?  The new has to come from within us.  How are we going to change for the better? We see our world around us faltering and further in debt? The answer is in our encounters with Jesus.  May we make the decision to seek Jesus and grow our word knowledge.  The more word knowledge we have, the more power we gain.  This power does not come in muscle strength, it comes in our spiritual development.  The stronger we are spiritually, the better we can understand our surrounding circumstances.  Find your quiet space and plan on meeting God there daily.  Have your bible, a note pad and pen ready to go.  I personally like to begin with praise.  We are blessed with our technology to have our iPods,You Tube and podcast.  Develop a string of worship songs as your find your favorite worship music. God will meet you there. The Bible promises those who seek will find(Matthew 7:7).  The more you seek, the more you will find.  The deeper the revelation will become.

I pray blessings upon each one of you.  I would like to conclude today with this song.
