Power: God’s Incomparable Great Power for Believers

Power: God's Incomparable Great Power for Believers…and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but in the one to come. (Ephesians 1: 19-21 NIV)

The force

Can you picture the tense excitement running through every Cardinal and RedSox fan after the last two games? The power to move individuals emotions with this level of play is substantial. All force behind the power of the World Series is no where comparable to God’s Power, HIs incomparable power for believers. Oh, we believe in our favorite sports team. How about placing this much faith in our one-true God?

God’s plans

I think about my daughter’s soccer team. Should their opponents score first, you can see their power drop. Thankfully, the more mature they become in their skills, the less power they lose and begin to surge forward with more force. This is similar to our Christian walk. When we are new Christians, we hardly grasp the magnitude of God’s power. Circumstances around our lives seem out of control. You sense there is a change in you, because there has been a change. Jesus is now our Lord and King. You will have friends and family not to understand. The more we grow in our Christian walk, the more we become enlightened with God’s incomparable power and plan He has for us.

God’s power

I am in awe thinking about God’s power. There is nothing-zero-zip more powerful than God. Nothing even comes close. As Jesus is seated next to God’s right hand, He is far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, down to tittles of this present age and the next. When we grasp this, we can believe no weapon formed against us can prosper, nothing anyone says against us can prosper, as this is the heritage we have as a child of Christ. Scripture knowledge will expand.

Forward Friday!

It’s Forward Friday! What are your thoughts on being a recipient of God’s power? The same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead…so much more to learn and grasp. As we move forward this weekend, our innocence restored, we persevere through tests to not lack anything, and now tap into God’s power waiting for you. Be encouraged! Spend a few minutes to meditate on these words as you join in praise to our King.
