Spiritual Forces of Evil Lure Minds to Sleep

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12 NIV)

Soliders’of Christ

Called to be soldiers of Christ, we sing…Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before, Christ the Royal Master leads against the foe… Once we have on the full armor of God, we can stand against the devil’s schemes. Scripture directs once we have done everything, we are to stand…not sleep. It’s time to wake the slumbering.

Opposite

Spiritual forces of evil include everything opposite from Jesus’s spiritual truths. For example: hatred vs. love, abortion vs. birth, sexual impurities vs. sanctity of marriage. Those who have become angry towards God, those who want to remain neutral, and those who choose not to believe there is a one-true God are all playing into the devil’s hand. Absolutely, all unbeknown to most of them. This is the importance for us to keep speaking truth and never wavier.

Spiritual forces of evil

A long time ago, I worked within an environment where spiritual forces of evil were strong. I did not realize then as I do now, the force was prevalent softening values luring minds to sleep. To only be awakened justifying their sin. Our nation is under this same spiritual force of evil, happening at a much faster rate. These individuals have been deceived to believe the devil’s lies. The enemy disguises his voice to sound sweet and lovely. It’s the same spiritual force of evil for us who stand strong, yet tempted with food. If the enemy cannot tempt us one way, he will try another.

Discernment

How can we tell the enemy’s voice? We discern between good and evil, between truth and lies. Wednesday’s blog took us through one of Paul’s prayers starting with knowledge. Knowledge all the way to quietness and confidence. It takes quietness to calm all noise our society pushes forward through spiritual forces of evil. We need Biblical knowledge to stand strong and confidence to stay strong. Not to be forced into a slumber.

God’s Word will not go void

It’s Forward Friday! Let’s ask ourselves, “Has a spiritual force of evil lured me to sleep?” The Bible promises, God’s Word will not go void. I pray God’s Word will rise in every individual who the enemy is trying to deceive for truth to break them free. All in Jesus’s name we pray. Amen!
