Old Testament: Includes Full Measure To Understand

Old Testament: Includes Full Measure To UnderstandHe said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures.” (Luke 24:44,45 NIV)

Monday!

Motivating Monday! A great time to be alive! Jump up and give me five- go ahead and do a little jive. It is Monday after all. I love to spread joy on Monday. It’s kind of like the Old Testament- they both get a bad rep. Look to Monday with expectancy. All kinds of possibilities are available, stepping out of box to believe.

Theory

Same theory with the Old testament- read it with expectancy. Learn what has been written about Jesus and spoken through Old Testament prophecies. Sadly, many find the Old Testament irrelevant and disconnected to current issues. If you or someone you know believes this…very possible you have been deceived. Jesus was clear explaining this point to His disciples. He opened their minds to understand this level of information.

Understanding

Christians are sincere stating they do not read, because they don’t understand. Consider the amount of time Jesus spent with the disciples. Lessons after lessons, He broke down into parables to help them understand. Yet, it still took Jesus to open their minds to help them understand.

Old Testament

Jesus wants us to understand. We have to be willing- just like willingness to turn Mondays into a happy day. It takes changing attitudes, making adjustments in our actions, and desire to learn. Looking at Monday with expectancy…would be like special fluid added to fuel our week. Same with understanding Old Testament scripture. Understanding the back story elevates knowledge and increases wisdom. It’s like baking with a full recipe instead of leaving out half the ingrediants. Enjoy full knowledge instead of trying to figure out what’s missing. Simply ask Jesus to help with understanding. He is faithful.

Be encouraged!
