Trials: No Going Over, No Going Under…

Trials: No Going Over, No Going Under...In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire- may be prove genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (1 Peter 1:6,7 NIV)

Trials

Trials are inevitable. No one eludes trials. Trials vary from person to person. How we face trials will determine length and battle wounds in the end or victory shouts. Proverbs 17:22 shares how a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones.

Good Vs. Evil

I’m reminded many warnings toward words we speak. We declare a thing and it shall be- how many times do our words negate God’s promises. For every truth in the Bible, satan has a counterfeit. Gaining an understanding of spiritual forces of darkness- meaning spiritual warfare, brings balance in good vs. evil. Much of the problem in America right now derives from being off balanced. We’ve reverted back to the 60’s movement of peace and love, leaving out information- truth, for balance.

Faith/Fear

The more I’ve dug my heels into the ground, longer my trials have lasted. When faced with both our boys critically injured in a severe ATV accident, all my trials made sense learning about spiritual warfare. All my husband learned about fear, helped him immediately to rebuke the devil. I believe this is the key to our miracle. Once the devil was demanded to flee, resistance left. Allowing greater faith to permeate freely, speaking life, declaring God’s promises…and keeping my mouth zipped from letting any angst take away our miracle. Canceling fear with faith is so important.

Overcome

Did we find learning about spiritual warfare easy? No. When God wants us to learn something- there’s no going over it and no going under it- we have to go through it. Am I thankful for various trials experienced? Yes. There is no greater joy to me, than sharing my life experiences to help you overcome. Jesus promises…He overcame the world, so can we. He even says…we are going to do greater things than He did. That’s hard to believe, yet, He said it- we believe. I know it’s hard. However, if we move forward with today’s truth, we all will overcome. It’s Forward Friday and I am believing with you.

Be encouraged!
