Bad or Good? Necessity To Open Minds

Bad or Good? Necessity To Open MindsThis is what God the Lord says- he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk in it: “I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand…” (Isaiah 42:5,6a NIV)

Powerful!

Powerful! Take time to read all of this chapter. When God is speaking, His Words in quotes or later written in red, it’s like stop with reverence. When news cannot be trusted and societal confusion grows daily, understanding God is a necessity. It’s like going into survival mode. God giving life to those who walk in it is key for God taking hold of our hand.

Bad?

John 10:10 is clear- Satan is here to steal, kill, and destroy. God is here for life more abundant. Satan gloats when individuals blame God for bad happenings. We know there is a multitude of wrong happening around the world. Job is best to read, understanding source of bad. We understand, God is in control of all things- even satan cannot touch us without God’s permission. While reading Job, it’s clear, our response to bad- will determine miracle or tragedy.

Open Minds

For us to know how to respond, we have to diligently see God’s Word, keeping our eyes on Him. As we study scripture, ask God to open our minds to understand. He is willing. His disciples walked with Him, yet, it took time for their minds to open to understand. Further away from God’s influence, closer to satan’s grip. Once he gets hold, it’s hard to let go. Sin may be fun for a moment, consequences last a lifetime. If a come to Jesus moment does not happen- it will last for eternity, forgoing Heaven straight to hell.

Take Hold

I’d rather be bold with truth now, than coat truth with sugar for my own gain, losing souls to satan. No matter how deep or how far, Christ will take hold of our hand, giving breath and new life for those willing to walk in it. The question is…are we willing?

Be encouraged!
