Let…

Let there be light, separating light from darkness. Let there be expanse between the waters to separate water from water,  expanse forming evening and morning. As each day went during the first six days God created all things. He rested on the seventh as all creation was created good. Every time in the West, I’m amazed with God’s creation. Each state has been created with God’s purpose in mind. While I am in awe in the West, same can be said for Missouri and Illinois as other states have flat, rich soil…farm land, capable of producing best yields.

Awareness

What increases my awareness for God’s creations in the West is the moral decline in this area, resisting Biblical Truth. Here I am in Portland, OR and forced to smell marijuana walking down semi-busy sidewalks or in the city park. There appeared to be a stoned bellman at our hotel, later in the evening much more alert. (Yes, of course it could have been sinus medicine.) Same city where a parade had to be canceled due to threats towards a Republican group marching in the parade. Why is this happening? Only one church settled in downtown Portland. Story goes more males pioneered this town and desired more bars. They currently have more breweries than any other city. Does this city have a chance? I’d say so…there is yet the deep rooted spiritual darkness as in NOLA. IF not turned around, will be there soon.

The flip side is all the amazing landscapes. Yesterday, after my husband’s meetings concluded, we ventured out on Historical Hwy 30 in awe over all the waterfalls we viewed. The Multnomah Falls is the grand waterfall, however, the one capturing my heart is Shepperd’s Dell Waterfall. Mr. Shepperd’s family spent time with God at this location. When I first saw this waterfall, I noticed how parts are near hidden. As beautiful as this waterfall graces its presence, we have to carefully look to see top or origins. Here’s the spiritual connection…just as the top part of this waterfall is present at all times, we have to look to find. Same with God- He is always present, creator of this amazing earth we call home. One day we’ll find out how amazing Heaven has been created…if we’re willing to seek Him now.
