God’s Purpose, Rebellion is Real

God's Purpose, Rebellion is RealIf you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness. (1 Timothy 4:6,7 ESV)

Taking for Granted?

Forward Friday! Moving forward with part two of 1 Timothy 4. Wednesday’s blog discussed how consciences determine if path taken conflicts with God’s Word. For Christians…now this has become tricky, not all people who consider themselves Christians, believe scripture applies to them. We are privileged in America to have as many Bibles and translations as desired. Brothers and sisters around the world have lost their lives for having one page of the Bible, confessing Jesus Christ as Savior. Why do we take for granted, leaving Bibles untouched?

Concern

When concern rises for family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances…people, keep fingers down, and simply love as Christ loved. This is not hatred, this is not judgmental…Jesus says speak truth in love. Anything contrary would simply be letting people slip away into satan’s grip. Paul encouraged Timothy with these letters, God’s intent to encourage us today. Once we overcome, same as removing the log from our own eye, scripture says in Matthew 7, we can help remove the spec out of our brother’s eye. Believing, trusting Jesus, accepting His plans for my life- when they made no sense at all, equipped me to understand discernment and spiritual warfare. Then in God’s perfect timing, released me into my destiny…at a time when deception was erupting and dire warnings fell silent. Individuals are denouncing God’s church, finding it invalid. The rebellion in rejecting God’s purpose is real.

God’s Purpose

The battle rages for our souls. Imagine the magnitude of combined power…if, every Christian grew in Word knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. God’s purpose within each individual would become accomplished. The entire body of Christ working together strengthening God’s Kingdom. In order for this to happen, we cannot have brothers and sisters in Christ depart from their faith. It will take Christ’s love to reach hearts, helping individuals back on God’s ordained path. It’s vital to be trained in words of faith and dismissing irrelevant, silly myths.

This reminds me of the beautiful gift of redemption, more on this Monday! Remember today, standing for truth, speaking in love…God sees us as a good servant.

Be encouraged!
