People…Supplications, Prayers, Intercessions, and Thanksgiving

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

What I love about today’s verse, as with every blog, all people are included. Supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving are made for all people, including kings and all in high positions. No one is excluded. People are important, we’re all made in the image of God. Genesis 1- from the very beginning, mankind is made in the image of God, male and female. He desires every individual to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.

People

Last week, I traveled with David. While he visited clients, I enjoyed the beautiful and very quaint setting of Fairhope, AL. Since we were in the south, although nine hours west, we decided to drive on to College Station, Texas and see our college boy. Driving through Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, my eyes opened to people and more people. God made us all and amazing areas we live, we develop different dialects, ideas, yet can be very united under the knowledge of truth.

Truth

Truth is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ. He gave His life as a ransom for all men. Even as Truth is known, many reject truth, turning away from Christ or never accepting. As beautiful as all God’s creation- from landscapes around the world, here in America, all stunningly beautiful, and most of all…people. God leads those willing into a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. Accepting Jesus as Savior, following His commands, becoming His friend, makes this lifestyle possible. Being saved is nothing corky, it is life changing. The Lord knows…He really does, there is no peace in this world, without Jesus.

Peace

Travel across states or countries is not necessary to know people everywhere- need our prayers, interceding through supplications or thanksgiving. People need Jesus, even if they do not realize. Let’s be motivated to begin praying for all to be saved, to come to a full knowledge of truth- Jesus Christ. While praying- pray for our President and all high officials. Peace…peaceful, quiet, godly, dignified…it’s scripture…it’s truth. In alignment with God’s Word, all things are possible to those who believe.
