Words Created From Gifts and Talents

Words Created From Gifts and TalentsBeing confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it out to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6 NIV)

A poem

When circumstances swirl around…

news has us in a stare.

Take this step of faith, if you’ll dare.

Little ones sing “Trust and obey.”

Adults sing, “Power in the Blood.”

Dead bones rise from decay.

Teens cheer somber days are gone.

The light draws us near.

His radience glistens about.

Warmth of His power,

His incredible power.

A gift we must seek.

Seek til we find…

Jesus will be on time.

Words

I love to sit and have words come to my mind in such a situation as above. I am not formally trained in poetry. However, a gift of words that come to mind. When I first surrendered to God’s direction, the above verse became one of my favorites. This is an amazing encouragement to us all. God begins a good work in us, as we begin to recognize talents and gifts He has given.

Gifts and Talents

As we recognize these gifts and talents, we keep our eyes on Jesus. It is incredibly important to beware of satan’s schemes to distract us. Just today, I began work on a project I needed to finish. In the first ten minutes, I had four tele-marketers calls. This is minute compared to times when God is ready to move us forward and we become weighed down in busy work. We accept projects we know we should not. As you study God’s Word and spend time in prayer, God will direct your steps. He is the light to your path and a lamp to your feet.

Laughter

It’s Forward Friday! Let’s move forward guarding our time as we explore and develop our gifts and talents. We can trust God to finish the good work He began in us. News has been heavy this week. I want to conclude with one of my favorite Tim Hawkins videos. Please take time to watch. Words written and/or words spoken are meaningful or in this case  bring laughter.

Be encouraged!

So wonderful to read encouraging words! And, yes, keeping that focus is what keeps us from satan’s snares.

Thank you, Cheryl! I promise my goal is to encourage. However, encouragement even when truth comes out sharp as iron. Thank you for visiting!
