“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” …says the Lord. (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV)
Amazement
Once grasped, a small amount of faith welcomes God’s power to remove obstacles. Images of mountains moved from here to there, are etched in our minds. There is nothing to bring amazement like seeing God move in our lives. Unlike cartoon character’s super powers only work in fictitious story lines. God’s mighty power is here to save.
God is Willing
Salvation is for all mankind. God is willing to meet wherever we are. No pit is too deep for God’s love to reach. Arrogance will block, yet God’s love will remain available. As Savior, Jesus is our strength to remove sin. Honoring Jesus through choices and actions, we strive for holiness. God desires holiness. He says to be holy, because He is holy. Through this transformation- seasons of time, we will be filled with amazement.
He Delights
As He delights in us, He quiets us with his love. Raised in Western Ky- God love us, we have accents. I’ll gracefully call dialect. In early days, filled with self-righteousness, I was loud and opinionated. Today, I stand amazed. During conversations, individuals state across the country, they can barely here my soft voice. Once I realized this was happening, I chuckled. I’ve gained a gentle- quiet spirit. I’ve only gained this by backing out of so much activity and time spent in a season of prayer- seeking Jesus. The quieter we become, more God delights. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. Take a season and seek Him. Amazement will follow.
He Rejoices
He rejoices over each one with singing. We never know this is happening. As relationships with Jesus develop, we move our eyes from natural to super- natural. Accepting God’s Word as truth allows faith to overcome obstacles. Our God is amazing. Our amazement of who He is- simply grows with maturity. God wants to delight in you, to sing over you, to develop a gentle- quiet spirit. Basking in God’s sweetness is far more desirable than caught in satan’s web. Would you agree?
Be encouraged!

I love you, Vicky. And you are a quiet spirit. I love to sit quietly before the Lord and miss Him when I don’t. I never thought of amazement coming from the quiet but it must be that when we are silent and He is free to speak. Ha Ha! The Psalms say, “I will quiet myself before the Lord. I will listen to what He speaks.”
Thank you for an encouraging word of peace!
Margie
Thank you, Margie. Indeed as we quiet, He speaks- amazement comes. The way He orders our steps to moving obstacles out of our way. Opening our eyes to His Work brings a true sense of amazement. Ordering our steps to meet- how cool is that. I’m thankful. Love you dear sister!
