Warnings Save Lives From Destruction

Warnings Will Save Lives From DestructionSo Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But the sons-in-law thought he was joking.(Genesis 19:14 NIV)

Warnings

Forward Friday! Warnings came as they were laughed away. Wonder what these two guys thought as destruction fell on Sodom and Gomorrah? I doubt laughing was heard. Lot’s warning would have saved their lives. Warnings to heed Spiritual Truth will save lives today. Are you or someone you know in jeopardy should destruction fall on America?

Decisions

Lot is an interesting person. He was Abraham’s nephew. When these two departed ways, Lot was given first choice where to settle. He chose the whole plain of the Jordan, watered well like the garden of the Lord. Drawn to Sodom, he eventually became the city’s gate keeper, being tolerant of sin.

Considering…

Would Lot have been saved without Abraham’s persistence? We did not have to find out. The angels of The Lord left Abraham and found Lot. What would have happened to Lot, if the angels did not pull him back into his house? Two nights ago, we had a fierce hail storm. The force of hail beating on our front door, sent us running to the basement. As my shaking calmed, Lot’s story came to mind. The force of sin pounding on doors is fierce. We have to start grabbing individuals in before destruction comes.

Forward Friday!

God is anointing voices to be voices of warning. Through growing stronger in spiritual maturity, we’re all voices of warning to friends and family. Lot’s sons-in- law may only knew Lot’s actions in Sodom, reasons why he was not taken serious. How serious do people see us today? May make a world of difference in others accepting warnings. Much to consider with Lot’s story. Let’s move forward seeking God with our whole heart, allowing Him to draw us towards holiness. Where trusted words will save others from destruction.

Be encouraged!
