Walls Destroyed- Faith Crumbled- What now?

Walls Destroyed- Faith Crumbled- What now?For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. (Psalm 18:28,29 ESV )

Walls

This image gained my attention from the first time my eyes were drawn and thoughts began to stir. When I look…I see walls around hearts destroyed and foundations of faith shattered. With walls down, violated feelings exist, and numbness may have delayed healing.

Devastation

Whatever destroyed this home, I’m unsure. Only you know what has caused situations surrounding your heart. When devastation hits, a dark overcast pushes away light. We quickly have to regain our footing- longer we stay down, darker it becomes. The devil is constantly looking to see who he can devour. I know easier said than done, yet, allow this truth to permeate your mind and begin telling yourself you are the victor, not the defeated.

Light/Darkness

God promises to lighten our darkness. Darkness cannot stay with God’s light shining. As light renews energy we become strengthened. An inner stir is charging- trying to engage minds to send signals to bodies for movement towards healing. Faith is re-established in a God who knows what is for our greater good. It’s hard for our earthly hearts and minds to grasp. Situations in my own life…I’ve learned to stop questioning and trust God.

Faith

Developing faith…increasing faith step by step. God shows He is faithful, we desire to be faithful back- God shows more faithfulness, we desire to be more faithful. It’s like two friends who can never out give the other.

Promise

You or a friend may be looking at a crumbled foundation- possibly one of faith. We can never rebuild on our own strength. It’s asking the only God that promises to lighten our darkness. Are you ready to be the victor and not the defeated? To be able to successfully run against an opposing troop? With God’s help leap over walls. Maybe it’s strength to start breathing again and allowing God’s light to direct a new path. All in God’s love….He is a good, good Father.

Be encouraged!
