Connect: A Gift Building Strength and Purpose

Connect: A Gift Building Strength and PurposeTherefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV)

Gift

God is perfect direction in life. Accepting Jesus’s gift of salvation is a gift that keeps on giving. The Holy Spirit is the best friend we can ever have- He will always tell us the truth, counsel, and help us in every situation. Learning to listen to God’s low whispers and learning to feel the Holy Spirit’s nudge will keep us centered in God’s will.

Connect

I love connecting people. Never considered anything special about my desire to help others until pointed out by my spiritual mentor. This does not happen on my own. When I am talking with someone- something they say will immediately resonate within me, feeling The Holy Spirit’s nudge to connect them to next link.

Links

Consider links by themselves hold no value. However, connecting links together strengthen purpose. Same with connecting individuals, building strength and purpose. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 18:20 Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them. Powerful! How many times have believers been gathered in projects and never consider Jesus in their midst. He’s omniscient, all knowing- never a time missing what is happening in our lives.

Strength and Power

Doesn’t everyone want to help build others up- especially in strength and purpose. No. A big sad no. When people become lovers of themselves, they only think about self. Imagine a world of people helping people. Do all people take my advice to be connected? No, they will miss linking to purposed link. Gracious! I never want to miss out on being linked. We do not want to be linked to wrong chain. Something we all have to watch out for- deception is serious.

Moving Forward

Look around this weekend as we move forward. Two Friday’s left till Christmas! There will always be someone to connect with another or simply help ourselves. God proves Himself faithful time and time again.

Be encouraged!
