Remain: Faith, Hope, and Love…The Greatest Is…

Remain: Faith, Hope, and Love...The Greatest Is...And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts…(1 Corinthians 13:13- 14:1a)

Forward Friday!

I never realize God’s pick for scripture till I sit down to write. There can be experiences remembered, lessons learned, or what crosses my path during the day. For instance, while waiting at a red light, and seems like yesterday was a red light day. I finally admitted…Ok! God, I did not spend adequate time in prayer. God and I have lots of conversations over red lights. There before my eyes was a truck passing through with the word, Remains as the name of business. Immediately, my thoughts related remains with a person’s body after death or an animal and I thought…a bit odd. A day in my brain can be interesting.

Remain

As the word, remain, lingered throughout the day, The Holy Spirit whispered within…Vicki…Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. Ahh! Sweet, sweet Holy Spirit, in a world full of societal confusion- a world of love awaits those who are tired and want more out of life. For this to happen, we must have churches healthy permeating God’s Love- not justifying sin, yet, speaking Truth in love. Truth sets people free- breaking chains of bondage, setting captives free, awaken the slumbering, deciding the indifference…because within each individual is a special set of skills/gifts unique to each person’s persona.

Greater Gifts

Not all churches today believe God’s infallible Word. Be careful when choosing- many have left enough scripture to make one think it’s held sacred, when only being led astray by claiming love as accepting one’s sin. Jesus died on the cross, to take away sin, defeating the devil. No matter how much havoc the devil creates until now and Jesus’ return…people who identify as Christian have an obligation to study God’s Word. To learn how to become mature in our Spiritual journeys. 1 Corinthians 12- 14 chapters are great to study for God’s greater gifts.

Moving Forward!

As we mature…it’s so sweet to trust in Jesus. To eagerly seek and desire spiritual gifts and see how God develops our unique gifts within. First, through faith and hope, we follow God’s way of love. Let’s refresh our memory of 1 Corinthians 13…love defined. Imagine…if every Christian zeroed in on living a life, defined by God’s love. The entire world would come to know Christ…I have no doubt. These three will remain: faith, hope, and love…the greatest is love. Which way to go? The way of God’s love.

Be encouraged!
