Perspective: A New Year, A New Outlook

And when he had removed him (Saul), he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, “I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.” (Acts 13:22 ESV)

Happy New Year!

Seems excitement is in the air for 2019! I’m excited and looking forward to our church’s 21 day fast. A corporate fast uniting churches all over America and possibly beyond. Always three days after Christmas, I turn a year older. With every new year, a new perspective surfaces, especially if we seek one. This year I am seeking. As good as life has been, I do not want to settle. I want to be all that God has for me- how about you? Ready for a new perspective?

After God’s Own Heart

One of my friends shared a birthday wish, I believe this is an encouragement for us all. As she stated, “Remember, you were not getting older, you’re getting more like a woman after God’s own heart. He is transforming you with every day.” Gentlemen- substitute man after God’s own heart. There is no greater wish than to be known as a woman after God’s own heart. Elizabeth George’s book, A Woman After God’s Own Heart, is one to read. One of my friends, claims this book as life changing. If you’ve not read, now may be a good time.

What is your outlook for 2019? Perspective is defined as a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something, a point of view. Attitudes determine the Altitude is often quoted in my home. We have to adjust attitudes daily, and a few times for several of us. Imagine all possibilities having a positive attitude, while seeking Jesus to do His Will. To have a heart after God’s heart, we desire to serve God, becoming disciples studying The Bible, gaining scripture knowledge; engages new perspective. Knowledge develops wisdom and understanding. Amazing how a new perspective can change directions toward goodness, all God has for us to do.

King David did not become King instantly- time was spent developing skills, before God elevated him to King. This is true for us, too. A New Year, also Releasing Truth’s anniversary. It’s hard to believe beginning 6th year. Thank you! His Word is True- and must be released to prevent being deceived in midst of societal confusion. Over the last five years…we’ve seen much evolve. Best way to silence the devil, be a man/woman after God’s heart, fulfilling God’s Will.

Be encouraged!
