Delight In God’s Law…Overcome Sin

So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans 7:21-25 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

Paul struggled, we know he dealt with a thorn. This never slowed him down, nor discredit Jesus’ identity or God’s sovereignty. Sin is a viable source in our lives. Christians overcome sin by taking captive contrary thoughts. We control flesh by building God’s Word into our inner being. We who take our faith serious find delight in God’s law. If sin is controlling our life, and we want to sin no more…Jesus is willing to forgive and will reveal new path as soon as we repent- asking for forgiveness.

True/False

I wish simplicity would win, however, this takes work. When the devil has gripped, flesh will not comply easily. Time to press in and pray, asking Jesus for strength. For when we are weak, God is strong. Find Scripture that speaks to your situation. The devil loves to control people, buttering lies, slipping us right into thinking we can handle both sides of the fence. The devil is slick as butter…takes God’s Word, which is known full and well- he is a fallen arch-angel. This is how he lures individuals into his deception, sprinkling enough truth into a complete lie. When a trusted pastor, teacher, mentor, Bible leader presents Truth, with love and full of grace, God has prepared minds and hearts to receive. There are an abundance of nay-sayers in church and out. We pray for them, yet, don’t let influence what God is doing in our lives.

New Beginning! 

Monday is beginning of a brand new week, new beginnings can start now. My daughter and I have discussed- no more negativity about her math class and I will start exercising with a trainer. This is very exciting! I do believe God is doing a new thing in our lives. No more hints/or full out assaults of the devil prompting our delay from fulfilling God’s Will for our lives. Who needs to read this? There are serous chains that need broken, and God wants to release freedom in each life.

Delight

Let’s be motivated to delight in God’s law, building Word knowledge, creating a resourceful inner being, the devil cannot touch. And…freedom has never been more needed, releasing people from sin. All in Jesus’ name, Amen!
