Foolishness…Time To Understand, Discern Truth

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are Spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Good news! The Bible brings clarity to every situation on earth. To understand, we have to accept Jesus as our personal Savior, or we will be the person without The Spirit. When trying to explain Spiritual discernment, we cannot expect all individuals to understand. Do they find foolish? You bet- and foolishness is all that will follow as long as we stay engaged.

Foolishness

We have to know when to speak Truth in love, and when to dust our feet off and walk away. We do not want to tarnish our attempt to share Truth by turning into a foolish situation. Proverbs warns many times, to never argue with a fool. If we do, we become a fool as well. Do we just let people be deceived? My flesh is ready to leave them deceived, yet, I know God within me…loves each person I come in contact with, and He desires all to be saved.

Discernment

Discernment is a gift that develops with time. For me, I was unaware what was happening when God began this work in me. I failed to understand why I saw and knew situations others did not. Really, life today- should not surprise me. God begins a good work in us to see it to completion. Discernment is a big key to understanding Spiritual Warfare. Over 25 years ago, my pastor preached a sermon and God helped me understand…I was learning about Spiritual Warfare. Good vs. Evil, Truth vs. Lies…sin vs. God’s righteousness….working all together to be free from deception.

Truth

The Spirit, is the Holy Spirit, Spirit of Truth. Let’s be motivated, to start this week, a new month tomorrow- asking Jesus to develop within us all a discerning Spirit, being able to understand the things that come from God. We have a population growing deeper into deception, believing false narratives, accepting lies from media; even professors or teachers/preachers presenting false information. We need Truth, avoiding all foolishness.

Be encouraged!
