Safe: Find Stability, Identify A Strong Tower

Safe: Find Stability, Identify A Strong TowerThe name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10 NIV)

Instability

Floods, earthquakes, and fires, we sense instability. These are early labor pains as described in the Bible. This is no joke, most of us have never experienced a natural disaster. Can minds in my area even conceive…likely not if, yet- when the New Madrid Fault will shift, causing great devastation? Let’s realize a strong tower is available for us to claim, before it’s too late.

Strong Force…

A dose of cheerfulness is needed, wisdom speaks a cheerful heart is good medicine. The heart can be many things:

  • The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; Who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9 ESV)
  • Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)
  • Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”(Matthew 22:37 NIV)
  • My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways. (Proverbs 23:26 NIV)

These few verses show how strong of force we have centered in our hearts. Hearts are deceitful above all things. Since, everything we do flows from our hearts, we have to take this serious. When choosing to guard our hearts, let’s turn them over to Jesus Christ, Savior of the world. Are we willing to give our hearts to the Lord- letting our eyes delight in God’s ways- visualizing goals to obtain? We cannot run to a tower, we do not believe in. So…break down all voices, removing them to hear truth from God’s sources, ones entrusted for such a time as this. Ask who these sources are, He will be faithful to let us know.

Safe

Best of all…running to this strong tower, we are safe. Safe from every offering the world dishes. Safe from all consequences permeating from the world’s sinful nature. Loving the Lord with all our heart, soul, and mind; Safe in the arms of our everlasting Father…Safe.

Be encouraged!
