Heavy Hearts Vs. Easy and Light…Jesus

Heavy Hearts Vs. Easy and Light...Jesus'Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11: 28-30 ESV)

Forward Friday!

As with many, our thoughts have shifted to Irma and words associated with this storm. Words like beast, nuclear, and worst than Andrew- the governor stated. Andrew was a category 5, most destructive to strike America. There’s now Jose and Katia active as Mexico was hit with an 8.0 earthquake. This is almost too much for my drive over country mind can imagine. Are we wondering what’s next? Friends across the country are in targeted areas, it’s all overwhelming. Yet, I want us to move forward and to do so…today’s simple truth is a most needed reminder.

Heavy and Burdened

Heavy hearts and heavy burdened individuals, Jesus is here to take all troubles, all concerns, all fear, all anxiety, all unknown and provide you rest. These are words Jesus spoke, written in red. These are taken very serious, His Word is true, we can trust Him. Jesus is gentle and low in heart, we can find rest for our souls with Him. After preparations are done- everything that can be done is done, call Jesus’ name, He will come to you- right where you are.

Easy and Light…

It’s almost not fair to exchange our heaviness for easy and light. However, this is what Jesus does for each of us, calling His name. He says- his yoke is easy and His burden is light. As the weight of all storms wage on many- everything is brought into perspective- what is important and what is not. Please listen to God’s directions carefully and the wisdom of professionals trying to keep all safe. When peace is threatened, know Jesus is willing to swap even change heavy for light and easy- He can handle this, no problem. Are we willing to learn from God’s Word? As we do- understanding love and comfort are available to us right now- every time we breathe, God knows.

Be encouraged!
