Covenant: An Agreement with God

Covenant: An Agreement With God“I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” (Genesis 9: 15,16 NIV)

Noah

Noah and the ark is a well known Bible story.  Baby nurseries are decorated with this theme. However, Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God. We see these same words written about other people in the Bible. When we do, we see individuals who God can trust to carry out certain tasks. In this instance, God saw corruption and violence on Earth. He informs Noah how to build an ark, take his family and two of every living creature. God explains to Noah, a covenant is established between the two of them.

God grieved

Scripture explains God grieved He made man on earth, his heart filled with pain. God is our heavenly Father. My thoughts are on every parent who has felt this same intense pain with their own children. Mother’s Day is not filled with pleasant thoughts for everyone. Honestly, it can be a child grieving for their parent.

  • I pray right now in Jesus’s name for every child or parent who have turned and strayed from Biblical teachings. Your word says, teach a child in the way they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from this. Lord, you are true to your Word. Stir within the hearts of these children young and old who have never returned that they can no longer run from their family or Biblical truth. Super naturally break the addictions, free from oppression, and break every yoke keeping them bound. Loosen the chains of sin. I do not know who this is for right now, yet Jesus, draw these individuals back to you right now by the power of the Holy Spirit. Comfort the hearts of mothers, fathers, and or children around this world who feel this intense pain. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

God’s covenant

Noah and his family along with the animals were the only ones saved. God remembered their covenant and sent a wind to recede the waters. Noah, off the ark, built an alter to the Lord and offered a sacrifice. This was a pleasing aroma to God. He promised never to destroy mankind again even if their hearts become evil. No other covenant in the Bible is quite like this one. This one includes every living creature. God placed the rainbow as a sign to remember this covenant.

Do you know Him?

A covenant is an agreement between two individuals. God makes covenant agreements with those He loves. Do you have a pact with God? Do you know Him as Savior? Healer? Redeemer? Restorer? King of Kings? The I AM? The author and finisher of your faith? A friend closer than a brother? If not, please visit my salvation page. Today will be a great day to form a covenant with the one-true God. His son, Jesus, is the ultimate sacrifice.

Motivating Monday

It is Motivating Monday! Lets celebrate what the Lord is going to do today with this blog! The Holy Spirit is being released to go call these individuals home, to break the chains of sin. Do you believe?

Be encouraged!
