Substance: An Inner Reflection on Matter

Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own, they belong to the Father who sent me. (John 14: 23,24 NIV)

Straight from God

Jesus is like saying…Hey! These are not my words, they are straight from God. I am saying, Hey! These are not my words, they are straight from Jesus! Please know, there is no way God would have me encouraging you, If my own experiences were not a core part of my substance.

Substance

The ability to endure hardships to become a good soldier in Christ Jesus begins much earlier than when the hardship hits. Hebrews 11:1 faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We need substance, the real physical matter of which a person or thing consist and has a tangible, solid presence. What type of consistency runs through your blood? Some people become so upset their “blood boils.” I bet we have all felt that a time or two. However, as we mature in Christ, the matter within us changes. Faith becomes our substance. Faith to believe in the one-true God. God’s teaching replaces mindless thoughts and chatter with scripture filled with warnings, promises, and wisdom. We become filled with knowledge that produces understanding. The stronger we become in these areas, the greater our faith grows. The stronger our substance becomes.

Transformation

Enduring eludes a hardship, not positioning ourselves in a hardship to call defeat. This would give Satan a win. It’s time to stop him in his tracks. The more you give into your hardship, stronger  his lies become a false reality. Then how easy it becomes to lie to other people. It is a terrible web Satan works hard to capture weak individuals. He prowls around looking to see who he can devour. Please take note if this is penetrating in your heart or for someone you know. Through prayer and fasting, your strength builds to loose the chains and break free from this web. Holy Sprit, I pray right now for individuals or their loved ones who are caught in satan’s nasty web. Bring Biblical truth to them and allow this to penetrate their hearts and minds down to their bone marrow. Allow the substance to change within immediately for a miraculous transformation. Turn their attention to you and draw them near to allow good soldiers of Christ Jesus to be positioned to help as you direct them, I ask all of this in Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.

Simple, simple, simple

Simple, if we love Jesus, we will obey His teaching. Through Jesus the Holy Spirit comes to live within us. Immediately our substance begins to change. Dig Deep Wednesday! How would you evaluate your inner substance? It never hurts to do a maintenance check. I would not want anyone to hit a hardship and be near empty.
