Divine Appointments: Smile, Are You Ready?

Divine Appointments: Smile, Are You Ready? If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:46-48 NIV)

Divine Appointments

Bend and stretch, flex those muscles. Are you ready? We’re approaching last sane weekend of the year. How well do we interact with others? Loving those that love us, easy to return love. If we focus only on family, then who is missed? Each of these circumstances prevents our movement towards divine appointments.

How divine can appointments be when they are not with family and loved ones? Because we know there are unhappy and irritable individuals in this world. One reason why God brings these individuals in our proximity, not for irritation. We may be the only glimmer of light in one’s darkened world. I’ve been one to forget and realize how crucial my mishaps have been.

Divine appointments become divine as we make this connection. Becoming conscious of our inner light, helps process thoughts. On a scale from 1- 10, rank your brightness? Inner lights brighten, creating an external glow, more time we spend with Christ. More time studying God’s Word, praying, worshiping in Spirit and Truth. Practice kindness. This does not come natural for most. My son’s former coach would say…practice makes permanent. More we practice kindness, more it becomes permanent.

As we gain knowledge and understanding, wisdom is produced. We decide to be kind in our brain, then our hearts change. We become more sensitive to the Holy Spirit directing our steps. Divine appointments may not be recognized until afterwards. A wow factor floods our heart. Let’s never take for granted Jesus dying for us, still sinners. We are sinners saved by grace, God’s gift. Let’s be a gift to others in need of grace.

Forward Friday! Divine appointments- they may be ready to growl, no doubt with the enemy’s prowl. No daunting task, it’s only a mask. Deep in their hearts, I hear screaming, hurts and pains too much for one being. Our light will shine speaking: faith, hope, and love- greatest of these is love. Let’s move forward listening for inner screams. We never know whose path we’ll cross. Will you be ready? Join me in trying.

Be encouraged!
