Measurements: Understanding God’s Way

..and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 4:19 NIV)

Measurements

When I cook or bake, I want the exact measurements as the recipe states. Yet, how many times after a flop, we hear, “I followed the recipe!” Sometimes, we have human error, even giving it our best attempt. God is willing to take our limited thinking and do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine.

Immeasurable

Sadly, even when immeasurable opportunities occur, people reject them. Do they take effort on our part? Yes, the Bible states as more is given, more is required. So…anyone happy to do without to keep from exerting self to do more? Please tell me this is not the case. God’s blessings, having His favor is natural sugar to our souls- without calories!

God’s Love

Stronger we become in our spiritual journey, more we understand God’s love. God’s love surpasses knowledge. This is very interesting…intelligence is often the gauge used to define life circumstances. Now we learn…God’s love surpasses human knowledge. He must be amazing.

Opportunity

Can we fathom the fullness of God? Yet, we have the opportunity to be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. To be full of God, we’re less influenced by the world. As much as God wants to fill each one of us, He cannot fill where there is no room for Him. We have to decide- more of God, less of world.

Choices

God = Life, World = Death. Life = Heaven, Death = Hell. Why choose death, when God offers life? It’s more than eternal life, it’s allowing God’s love to surpass all prior knowledge to receive His measurements of fullness. It sure beats taking a chance for human error.
