Warmth
The warmth of God’s love is like cuddling next to a warm fire on a chilly night, sipping hot chocolate. Feeling God’s embrace is legit. He may not be seen, yet a very tangible God who offers more than this world could possibly suggest. It’s interesting when satan tempted Jesus after his 40 day fast, he was offering Jesus everything already belonging to Jesus. Satan never gives, he is a taker…if allowed.
Reality
Christmas is a few days away. Jesus’s birthday represents peace on Earth and goodwill towards men, the world full of societal confusion continues to be divided. Taking time to listen to various news shows in the last few days, I find it hard to believe how easy it is for our president to deceive with his version of truth. Flipping channels, Commentator with full understanding talks with one who believes false propaganda. As this takes place, criminals are being released and some of the most dangerous from Gitmo.
Deception
How do we avoid being deceived when deception is exploding? One, we have to stop feeding into false or negative propaganda. If it does not build up individuals, communities, states, or country- we must stop listening, speaking, watching, and sharing. In order for this to be successful, we develop a strong sense of discernment, an inner knowledge to know difference between truth vs. lies and evil vs. good. We’ll be aware of deception, avoiding the fall. We live in midst of a constant spiritual battle, even if one does not believe.
Powerful Thought…
The international Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) has groups around the world focused only on the Bible, removing all propaganda. In our local group several years back, we had 14 different churches represented from all denominations. Focusing only on scripture, agreement is linked around the world. Wow! A powerful thought. Gained Spiritual knowledge, understanding, and wisdom is something even casual Christians cannot understand. Christians reading this- if you think we are the world, we are not. Jesus says we live in this world, we are not part of this world. This is a much needed truth to grasp. It is one of the main reasons many Christians never mature, misleading others along the way, while deception hovers to devour.
Christmas
We have many reasons to celebrate this Christmas. It’s not too late to see Christmas for its true meaning…A Savior who came to earth to die for our sins. Who desires for us to go and sin no more. To be holy because He is holy. He is so faithful, so good. It’s a journey, seasons pass and lessons learned. All goodness waiting to be revealed. No time for deception, let’s keep our eyes on Jesus.
