Can plunder be taken from warriors or captives rescued from the fierce? But this is what the Lord says: “Yes.” Then all mankind will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.” (Isaiah 49:24, 25a, 26b NIV)
The Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob…why would anyone not want to surrender to the Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ? The world wants us to believe once warriors in their sense take plunder or those who believe they are fierce take captives that what is done is done. Awaken America and around the world…Our God, our Redeemer says, “Yes, captives will be taken from warriors and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.”(Isaiah 49:25)
God will contend with those who contend with you and me? As long as we live, we’ll never understand actions of some people. As I sat pondering actions my child took a direct hit with and you know when it’s your child- we parents feel the hit, too. As I keep repeating…I am a rehabilitated mother bear, I am a rehabilitated mother bear; I am reminded “Old devils are already defeated.” This was prophesied over me in the same season my destiny was released. Areas in our lives that we have matured in and moved on…God has seen us pass particular tests and pleased to see us elevate our faith by applying God’s Word. We overcome, yet, the devil does not wish to see this happening. Just when least expected, he will attempt to drag us backwards into old trials. Acknowledging this is an old devil, we do not need to look back, only move forward. And…maybe my child had a lesson to learn.
God, Our Redeemer
Our God, our Redeemer and anyone that tries to come against us or our children, God will contend with as He knows best. Another word of wisdom from BSF group long ago…when God says vengeance is mine, let us release offenses, angst, ill-will to God and let God handle. He may work a greater good for the person teaching them in midst of their poor actions against others. It’s all about trust. We learn to trust God’s principles. Our children will become more matured adults, by helping them through life’s lessons vs. blocking life’s lessons. I personally wish we did not have to go through tests like these, yet, gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding strengthens our character and integrity- becoming more Christ-like. Even when matured, we find refining to do.
Remember: Old devils are already defeated. God’s promises are true. We serve one-faithful God.
