Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled…(Hebrews 12:14, 15 ESV)
Peace Vs. Bitter Roots
Motivating Monday! Strive for peace, a much needed goal. With many voicing desire to make a difference in the world we live, this will be a great start. Setting goals to achieve, increases our chances for success. In order to have peace, no bitter root can spring up and cause trouble. If it does, many people are defiled. The two most recent school tragedies are perfect examples:
- In Marshall Country, KY- leaders and officials set tone first thing, not allowing bitter roots to spring or create trouble. Peace.
- In FL- focus is off the victims and on political agenda against NRA. Bitter Roots, chaos erupted.
The most dangerous person living large on life is trying to destroy our country- check Europe’s troubles and how he’s set on doing same here. He funds non-profits against capitalism, against Christian values, while taking advantage of uninformed individuals, playing on their ignorance. We can be guaranteed, bus loads of people paid to be there, will join marches all over the country. The cover will be for sake of the students, yet, attack is against NRA. He tries to spark a fire everywhere possible, hoping to catch a flame.
Advocate
I am an advocate for all Americans. Driving down the interstate from St. Louis yesterday, a thought came to me…what if we had to flee our country- like many have from other countries where dictatorship has taken place? God is sparing us of this right now. Those against our President, wake up. We cannot be deceived, when Christ the solid rock, we have to stand, avoid sinking sand. There are strong demonic forces working feverish against God’s people, silencing them from making stands. Sin is satan’s force…his theory, sink people in sin makes them ineffective.
What can we do?
Thankfully, God takes sin away. In our personal lives- each one’s very own community we live, it’s time we campaign for at-risk students. A term I’ve not heard in a long time. Love how our Pastor included in weekly announcements a slip of paper, listing all areas we can become involved in working with children needing extra help in education, helping families, becoming friends and spending times with children. Every community needs a church to step up and do same. It’s God’s power through prayer to make changes as everyone feeling led, becomes involved. This is called being the hand and feet of Jesus. The world is hurting, children are hurting- time to pull earphones, remove cell phones or any other devices and get our healthy children involved in this effort. Peace…let’s strive for peace. It’s time we build each other up, not the opposite.
Be encouraged!
