Confidence: Accepting The Lord’s Help, Not Afraid

Confidence: Accepting The Lord's Help, Not AfraidSo we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Confidence is the heartbeat of our spiritual journeys. The enemy works effortlessly against individuals’ confidences, snuffing out self assurances of one’s abilities or qualities. I have to be honest, as confident as I claim to be…I would have written five books at this point. Since I have not…I see clearly, I’ve let myself be deceived in lacking confidence. My friends, it’s time to stand against the enemy’s nasty tactics.

Confidence

When confidence is spoken, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” God’s empowerment infiltrates our minds and total being. If Jesus Christ is our Savior, we believe and asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins, then why allow satan to steal our confidence? God’s Word is power for daily life. Looking around church yesterday, very few individuals brought their Bibles to church.

Challenge

A challenge for all: Find your Bible this week- even if it’s the New Testament given in 5th grade. The real challenge is creating a habit to carry our Bible to church each week. Yes, scripture may very well be on the screen. Let’s make scripture personal, by opening our Bibles, seeing first hand where scripture is located, seeing it in print right before our very eyes. Take a pen and underline meaningful parts in order to draw our eyes back to this scripture in the future.

Helper

We serve an amazing God, an incredible helper- all He has done in my life…I stand in awe. I believe the same for you. Respecting God’s sovereignty, His thoughts, His ways…we easily surrender all to Him. Show God your serious, asking for His help to understand scripture read. The more we read and understand, more confidence gained, more depth reached in our spiritual journey.

Be encouraged!
