“Yes”…Finding God’s Promises To Be True

But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas, and Timothy, was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” (2 Corinthians 1:18,19 NIV)

Experiences

Paul knew hardships. Details of his suffering so great, he truly felt he was going to die. When he discusses God’s faithfulness, believing in Jesus Christ to deliver us from circumstances- even deadly ones- can be trusted. Experiencing Paul’s level of despair is foreign to many of us, not so much for friends around the world.

Trials

We definitely have a fair share of trials. When facing trials and tribulations, where does our strength come from? Never knowing if or when life can be sucked out of us, feeling near death- pull from within knowledge of God’s faithfulness. Faith builds every time God’s “Yes” is applied to our lives. You may be one who thinks God never says yes to your pleas. He truly wants to- yet, He will never allow us to go down wrong path.  “Yes” is given when willing to align to His Will.

Faith

Praise God! His message, The Bible, is simple and promises are easily understood. There is no confusion within God’s Word. Confusion comes when mixed in our own theories. With Christ, we build faith one step at a time, taking deep breaths often. Paul turned his life around. Yes, easier when we have a blinding light stopping us in our tracks. Yet, when willing to consider something greater than ourselves…we can lock into God’s plan. Trust His faithfulness and know deliverance is available.

“Yes”

God is never “Yes” and “No.” His Word is true, God is always “Yes.” His promises are trustworthy. When God can trust us with little, He will trust us with much. Set out trusting God, building faith and one day when you need God the most- there within will be knowledge to pull from.
