Love Like A Warm Snuggly Blanket

The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:7,8 NIV)

Move forward?

How has your weekend moved forward? Hope you were able to replace vengeful thoughts with acts of kindness. It’s Motivating Monday! How can we reach the level of love God desires from us, if we do not first grasp the importance of kindness? With the possibility of removing irritated thoughts, kindness is like a progressive step towards unconditional love. Love covers a multitude of sins.

Love

Love promotes worth and value in others. God’s warmth is purposed to restore sinners home. We either listen to God’s voice or the world’s. Satan gives a counterfeit love. It is called…do whatever you want, God is love. Satan would love for you to think there is no consequence to sin, even though his un-repented sin dropped him from Heaven. When Jesus died on the cross, Jesus became the victor. When we die to self, with Christ, we can become the victor. This is wonderful news!

Pray

The top two commandments are found in Matthew 22: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Then love your neighbor as yourself. Scripture is full of God’s instructions for us to love. He desires to develop strong character in each of us. As we yield, kindness helps remove irritated thoughts, helps clear our minds. With clear minds and self-control, we can pray.

Warmed and Wrapped

I refer to my childhood church as a warm snuggly blanket. They represent Christ’s love to me. We can walk in chilled from this world, before you know, we are warmed and wrapped in hugs and kind words. This is the same way we are to be with others. God’s Word is true. The wages of sin is death. The gift of God is eternal life. Be motivated to love like Christ.
