Attitudes Changed- New To Reflect Christ

Attitudes Changed- New To Reflect Christ To be made new in attitude of your minds; and to put on new self, created to like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:23, 24 NIV)

Careful

Oh, be careful little eyes what you see. There’s a Father up above and He’s looking down in love. So, be careful little eyes what you see. Memories of childhood surfacing? The tune continues with being careful what we hear, what our hands do, where our feet go, and what our mouth says. This song covers everything. As children develop, attitudes are formed. Attitudes toward church settings weigh in on spiritual development.

Thinking

Once we come to know Christ, we no longer live like Gentiles, in the futility of their thinking. Scriptures in Ephesians 4 state they were darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Hardening hearts indulge in every kind of impurity, with continual lust for more. Gentiles then are not different than Gentiles today. Rather with church background or attitudes developed from churchless settings, attitudes are important. Changes in our attitudes take place as we soften our hearts to receive Christ as Lord.

Changes

As changes take place, we no longer seek with impure motives. Instead, take confidence in new self. Changes inside hearts and minds begin reflecting external. How we’re seen by the outside world, is how they view Jesus. Do we reflect God in true righteousness and holiness? Are we taking up world agendas to fight or do we deny ourselves taking up Jesus’s cross daily?

 Attitudes

Forward Friday! We move forward making transformation in attitudes. As small children, we have no idea how children songs impact. However, meaningful now as an adult to know seeds for righteous and holy living were planted. Even coming to Christ as an adult, songs like this will have greater meaning. Let’s evaluate our attitudes and check our hearts to ensure no hardness. In this world we live, no time to be ignorant. It never hurts for older- more mature Christians to cross check hearts and attitudes. There is something mighty special for each of us to be created like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ready to move forward? Let’s go!

Be encouraged!
