War: Understanding Weapons Needed

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:3,4 NIV)

Forward Friday! Onward, Christian soldiers, Marching as to war…when singing this as a young child, reality of war never on our minds. The world has it’s own way to flow. We live in this world, never meant to become like the world. This is a big problem in churches today. Discipleship is lacking.

Key

Lacking discipleship, leaves a growing number of Christians world minded. As this number grows, churches transform to reflect watered down versions, leaving out convicting teachings. Conviction is key to transforming our hearts, minds, and souls to be more Christ minded. The Holy Spirit, God’s gift to us as Jesus ascended to Heaven, is authority over conviction. This makes sense, He is the Spirit of Truth. As we yield to Biblical knowledge, applying Truths to our lives, we grow in spiritual maturity.

War is on…

As we mature, we begin to discern between good vs. evil. After my husband and I married, God opened my eyes to more evil than I thought possible. It was the beginning process for me to understand spiritual warfare and the war that grows more wicked daily. Twenty years ago when this process began, I could have never imagined evil like we face. What’s most sad to me, are friends who are oblivious to the underlying truths being sugar coated by current administration. If I was a fly on the wall watching both presidential conventions- One a class act- One… Who seeking the Lord, understanding war we’re in, could dismiss all facts lining up against one candidate? There have been character traits not liked before, yet, criminal faults seem to cross the line for any human being.

Weapons

Dear friends, we face an underlying enemy in this war who is not a respecter of persons. He is strictly lurking to find weakest links, desiring to devour. Truth and God’s Righteousness is satan’s nemesis. We take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We’re able to do this by growing in knowledge and wisdom; equipped to stand against any scheme the devil attempts. Our weapon is knowledge. More dumb downed this movement can weaken people, less force the enemy has to fight against. People parish for lack of knowledge.

Friday! Move Forward!

Let today- be the day, we move forward. To understand we are in a spiritual war- battle after battle. How we win, is utilizing God’s divine power to demolish strongholds. Pray and ask God to open our eyes- to discern between good vs. evil- to know God’s Word, stand for Truth. It’s all possible to those who believe and willing to seek.
