Deceived? The Devil is Constantly Lurking

Deceived? The Devil is Constantly LurkingThen the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” (Genesis 3:13 NIV)

Moving Forward!

Forward Friday! What a week! We had a child beginning college, high school, and jr. high. I never imagined swift winds and change in seasons like I’ve experienced. Many expressing…don’t blink. Time escapes as if a magician waves his wand. We have to be careful not to believe in magic or any swift circulating movement escaping sense of reality. When signs of weakness shows, being deceived is not out of question.

Interesting…

Scripture states the devil is constantly lurking to find weak individuals to devour. Interesting he would pick Eve to entice into eating forbidden fruit. Could this be his first act of deception for sole purpose discrediting God’s perfect plan for man to lead and woman to submit? Eve fell swiftly…deceived. Submission is not women’s favorite word, yet does align with God’s perfect plan. The reason it’s incredibly important to pray through and wait for God’s perfect mate.

Deceived?

How apt are we to be deceived? In middle of God’s perfection, the serpent deceived Eve. We can build and create perfect to the extent our minds can define. Yet, we work with limited thinking. God created and prepared more than our minds can imagine. Tapping into God’s thinking and ways- is to surrender, accepting Jesus as Savior, giving up complete control, acknowledging total reliance on Christ.

Effort

Seeking, we find God’s path to righteousness, his free gift. If satan has a grip, remember he has limited power. God is all powerful- willing and able to cut satan’s hold, freeing from all deception. With open minds and willingness, take relationships with Christ to new levels, remembering devils that have already been defeated- are indeed defeated! Make effort to believe-not be deceived.

Be encouraged!
