Truth Has Not Changed

Truth Has Not Changed“Go to this people and say, “You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.” For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them. (Acts 28: 26,27 NIV)

Paul ministers to Jews

Paul requested a meeting among the Jewish leaders. He taught from morning to evening his new knowledge of Jesus Christ. The above scripture was his final statement. Paul declared through the Holy Spirit, Isaiah spoke the truth. The crowd moved with mixed views. There were some who believed Paul and accepted the truth. Others disagreed between themselves and left.

Truth has not changed

From Isaiah to Paul to us today, truth has not changed. This story has not changed. Think about 45% of professed christians who do not believe the Bible as accurate. Do these individuals read their Bibles? Are they in churches where the infallible Word of God is preached? How do 55% of Christians interact within church and community? Many questions run through my mind. We have a world of hurt/indifferent individuals who need the church to be healthy. Not only healthy, we need them to know the truth. The truth will set you free. You may feel there is no bondage in your sin. Sin is a false sense of comfort. The reason why sin does not conflict with the world, because Satan is the ruler of the world. Sin separates us from God. This is not hate, this is truth. There may be times we do not understand. If so, we stop, pray, and wait to receive an understanding come to our minds. God does not delay when we ask Him to help us understand the scriptures.

I am thankful

I am thankful for each one reading this…let’s spend time in prayer today or as the Lord leads for 100% of professed Christians. Pray each one will be stirred by the Holy Spirit to have ears open to hear, eyes open to perceive, and hearts softened to understand. Pray pastors will preach the truth. May the Holy Spirit’s conviction be felt in each believer. May we see people turn from their sin and run into the arms of a loving Father. Jesus will be waiting to intercede to God. We can do this! Where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He is also. This is a team effort. I believe if we come together in prayer, we will see changes begin to happen across the world.

Be encouraged!
