When God Acts, Who Can Reverse it?

When God acts, who can reverse it?“I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:11,13 NIV)

God set forth motion

The earth began formless and empty. Darkness set over the surface of the deep. When God created the heavens and earth, God set forth motion. He devised a plan and set the completion date 6 days later. After each day, He saw his work was good. God blessed the 7th day as holy, for rest from all the week’s work. No opposing force came against God’s plan.

When God acts

Moses successfully led the Israelites out of Egypt. They wandered for many years, yet promise fulfilled. Abraham and Sarah birthed Isaac, promise fulfilled. Jacob ruled over Esau. The shepherd boy, David, became King. Elisha received a double portion of Elijah’s spirit. Nehemiah re-built the wall. Esther saved the Jews. Job received twice as much as he had before. Jesus died on the cross. He rose on the third day. Paul began ministering to the Gentiles. Bartimaeus received his sight. The widow’s son was raised from dead. Jesus fed the 5,000. This list includes many more. God is in control.

Trust, believe, and expect

Wow! What a reflection in each of these lives. Are they any different than our lives today? These were not coincidences. When God acts, He sets forth the same motion He took creating the earth and heavens. Who can reverse it? God’s grace is sufficient. His power is made perfect in our weakness. His promise to those who seek Him, will find Him. God is the only Savior. He is Savior to all who accept HIm. He is a friend to those who follow His commands. When God gives you a promise, keep hope alive. He may be our only hope. Satan loves to provoke fear. He knows fear cancels faith. God says the tiny mustard seed faith can move mountains. Imagine the impact of greater faith. Jesus mentioned  great faith moved Him to heal. Keep pressing forward. Keep seeking Him. We have to believe. We have to trust God when He acts. No one can reverse God’s plans.

Be encouraged!

It is Motivating Monday!
