Miracles, Signs, and Wonders: Are You Ready?

Miracles, Signs, and Wonders: Are You Ready? The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon’s Colonnade. (Acts 5: 12 NIV)

Miracles

Jesus performed miracles, signs, and wonders. The apostles performed miracles, signs, and wonders. And…? We are going to perform miracles, signs, and wonders. Maybe you…why not you? Do you believe? Do you draw close to God? Even faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. Greater faith catches Jesus’s attention. Example after example in the New Testament Jesus acknowledged the persons greater faith as He healed. You may say, that was then and we are now.

Truth

“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing,” explained Jesus in John 14:12.  Jesus continued, “He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” Self check right quick…do we show any resemblance to Jesus? Only the word faith is used in this verse. It only takes faith to exhibit His character and actions. Jesus now sits on the right side of God, He is interceding on our behalf when we pray. It is almost like the neighbor we build relationships with. We talk with them in the yard, watch our children play, roast marshmallows, and watch the super bowl together. When this neighbor comes with a request, we do not hesitate. Someone down the street who we do not know, we would have resistance. Jesus even says there will be some who’ll say…Father, Father, and He will say…sorry, I do not know you.

What now?

Where do we go from today, to reach where the apostles were able to perform miracles, sign, and wonders? This did not happen over night for them. Many times in the NT they doubted. They were unable to drive out demons or believe Jesus could feed 4,000 one day and then 5,000 another time. These are only a few examples, Jesus kept working over time to build their faith. He sent them back into the waters once to show how obedience allowed them to catch more fish than their nets could handle. This is all a process.

Are you ready?

The question is…are you ready for training?  Jesus may not be here physically with us like He was with apostles and early disciples. However, we have Him interceding for us to the Father. The Holy Spirit is within each believer. We can do greater things than He did! What is stopping us? It’s Forward Friday! Let’s move forward this weekend examining our own hearts and minds on where our beliefs stand pertaining to miracles. There is so much more we can discuss. Yet, for now, explore the potential within to be used by God for something larger than ourselves. It’s an incredible place to be. He is calling you today!

Be encouraged!
