Warnings Protect Individuals From Danger

Warnings Protect Individuals From Danger

See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. (Hebrews 3: 12,13 NIV)

Warnings

Summer time arrives with heightened alert to warnings. Warning signs caution drivers on neighborhood streets where children play. Strong warnings are provided around pools. School’s out with students out and about. Article Warnings read for drivers to caution during the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day. More accidents are apt to happen during this time. Warnings are a natural part of daily life.

Hardened hearts

Why are warnings to sin offensive? It takes no time listening to various news stations to hear hardened hearts defending sin. It’s scary Christians grow more accepting of sin daily. Society might change. God’s Holy Word never changes. Fair warning is given in Revelation 22: 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. God is very serious about His infallible Word. Written words in the Bible are truth.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Warnings are not anger leading to danger. Warnings prevent individuals from danger. The devil is our enemy. He was Lucifer, an arch angel. Lucifer knew God, knew truth. Biblical truth is twisted into counterfeit and becomes believable. Any sign of weakness, the enemy tests if he can fool the person. We must stand strong on God’s Word not to be fooled. Knowing God’s Word is vital standing against deception.

Forgiveness

Wages of sin is death. To taste death, is to be sent to hell. Matthew 13:50 describes hell…where these individuals will be thrown into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. The consequence of unrepented sin. When we repent, we ask God for forgiveness of our sins- He forgives. Go and sin no more. Warnings saves lives. Let’s evaluate our hearts and minds to ensure no hardness has been set due to sin’s deceitfulness.

Be encouraged!
