Beauty: Look Beyond Marred Human Likeness

Beauty: Look Beyond Marred Human LikenessJust as there were many who were appalled at him- his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any man and his form marred human likeness- so will he sprinkle many nations, and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand. (Isaiah 52:14,15 NIV)

Beauty

Beauty in the eye of the beholder, often one’s theory. Christmas season upon us, with thoughts of all Jesus sacrificed. Only Jesus’s body became so disfigured, marred from human likeness, to become a beautiful image in our minds. Why? Because when we grasp, Jesus is our salvation from eternal hell, He died so we may live. He traded His life for a world ruled by spiritual forces of evil. Hoping to save mankind.

Troubled?

I was mesmerized all weekend, with God’s beauty. Towards end of last week, I was really troubled over a situation, not life threatening or dire. Yet, God cares about our every need. He was like, Vicki- just get into prayer. As I did, His sweetness poured out and flooded every area of my life. He solved my dilemma. Thoughts were placed into action: step 1, step 2, and step 3- problem solved. I became elated. It’s this simple.

Free

Think about a Bible’s size. One book, God’s infallible Word of God, is free to every individual on earth. Enemies of this book, kill. Imagine… power to change lives, power to change circumstances, power to change ashes into beauty, and power to fill with overflowing wisdom and knowledge is held in this- one book. With God’s goodness available, how can He be continued rejected?

Light

You know- even if someone has rejected Jesus too many times to count, He still awaits. His beauty shines so when we spend time in prayer and studying His Word, God’s beauty radiates through us. His light is undeniable. It moves darkness away. As darkness flees- we’re able to see God’s beauty. Honestly, if you’re filled with light, those filled with darkness move away. Let’s not take this personal. More light shines in darkness, darkness has to flee.

Motivating Monday!

Motivating Monday! Let’s be motivated to become aware. Consider as we go about our day- how much God’s beauty reflects within. To help bring God’s beauty to someone’s life.

Be encouraged! I love this song. As our school’s concert choir sang this last night- too bad I do not have their recording. It seemed to tie my entire weekend together. May it start your week off on a grand adventure!
