Experiences

Forward Friday! Moving closer to Christmas! I sensed this season would be different from past experiences. Never would I have thought my decorations would still be in storage. However, not stressing and honestly- enjoying this season more. Yes, presents have been purchased. We’ve decided as a family, it’s more fun to open presents than entertain Santa gifts. Goodbye Santa…you’ll always be a fun memory.

Daunting

Creating experiences is big on my parental list. I love creating special moments. I love writing this blog connecting with each of you. None of these experiences are possible without God’s spirit within me. You may be wondering- who was Zerubbabel? He led first group of captives out of Babylon back to Jerusalem. A daunting task in itself. He became main builder in rebuilding God’s Temple on its original site. This was not done by his own strength. As with you and me, God cheered Zerubbabel right on to straight paths.

Never?

A friend told me yesterday, she will never enter a church again. I do not know her reasons. However, this weighs heavy on my heart. People leave church hurt and never return. Why? One viewpoint brought to my attention- babies cannot be held accountable. They do not know better, this stage they learn: yes and no, touch and not touch, wobble and fall down, eventually to walk tall and straight. Christians begin this journey with baby like steps. If we are uninformed, we lack knowledge. As we move forward in our Christian walk, The Holy Spirit helps helps us with wisdom and understanding. Stalling delays movements, costing time and taking chances to regress backwards. Lots of individuals involved in this area.

Aware?

It’s vital to God’s Kingdom and one’s soul, we become aware of individuals like my friend. Becoming keenly aware of our actions. Honestly, many claim christianity without ever maturing beyond salvation experiences. The only way to help disciple others is to grow in our spiritual journey with God’s Spirit working through us.
