Lord Almighty’s Treasured Possession- You!

“They will be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”  (Malachi 3:17,18 NIV)

Test

When the Lord Almighty is quoted, best we take note. However, it is Christ who takes note of our actions. Prior to verse 17- The Lord confronted those robbing Him, by withholding part of their tithe. Have you ever taken God’s offer? To test God concerning tithing? Tithing was concreted into my marriage foundation. During our engagement, we sat through a Larry Burkett Bible study. There we learned, to test God on tithing the full 10% from gross. God is faithful.

The Lord

Finished confronting one group, The Lord listened to those who feared Him. To fear God is to honor God. To study scripture to learn expectations set for Christian living. We do not want to sip milk the rest of our lives. I will soon be 45. I’ve decide my slogan will be- 45, shift into drive, I’m ready to thrive! Gracious, time I’ve lost taking detours, steadfast in rebellion of God’s will- all along choking on solid food I thought I was ready for. Hind sight is always 20-20.

Promise

Just as God’s promise to distinguish between the righteous and wicked, He is our redeemer. He takes every ounce of our energy wasted thinking we’re in charge, and refines preparing us for His perfect will. Everyone’s process will be different. Yet, sooner we align ourselves with God’s will, sweeter life will become. Just because life is sweet, shift into 4-wheel drive, now we can be trusted with more. Whatever God’s calling- He knew the plans He had of you while you were in your mother’s womb. Amazing!

Forward Friday! Less than one week till Christmas! Let’s move forward trusting God with the full tithe. I know the journey in finding God’s will is tough, yet during this time, God is molding you for greater things to come. Very exciting!!! Those who seek The Lord, find Him.
