Confidence: Impacts Ability To Understand

Confidence: Impacts Ability To Understand“Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! (Matthew 18:7 NIV)

Confidence

Motivating Monday! When I grow up, I am going to be ___. Two little boys playing catch at the ballpark yesterday caught my attention. One little boy’s patience cut short, while the second little boy proclaimed, “When I grow up, I am going to be a pitcher.” He did not allow his buddy to deter him from his confidence.

  • Confidence plays a key role in decision making. Every choice we make, is based upon a decision. Influences from previous experiences impact decisions. As we process experiences, the world’s underlying force draws individuals into sin. We live in this world, yet believers are promised a way out of every temptation.
  • Confidence in what we believe, strengthens resistance against sin. Taking time to invest in Bible study builds Word knowledge. More knowledge gained, understanding increases.
  • Confidence allows discernment between good vs. evil. Stronger God’s Word takes residence in our hearts and minds, greater we’re able to discern between truth and lies.

Growing Up

What did you want to be growing up? I wanted to be a beautician, sitting a trailer behind my childhood home. My Barbie head became my favorite. I washed, rolled, and cut this doll’s hair. I never dreamt God’s purpose for me would be knowledge gained on spiritual warfare. My confidence wavered in the beginning. I did not remember requesting this task. My heart was to do God’s will. God’s patience runs deep. All in agreement- say Amen!

Motivating Monday!

In Scripture, we read about false teachers and end times. Never thinking possible in our lifetime. Whatever God has purposed for your life- gain confidence, every aspect is necessary for God’s ultimate plan. Let’s be motivated to gain confidence in God’s purpose. A world swept in sin awaits redemption- only through Christ.

Be encouraged!
