Serious: Taking Note Overall Observations

Serious: Taking Note Overall ObservationsThe Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then He adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” (Hebrews 10:15-17 NIV)

Comments

“Whew! She just takes this faith thing too serious.” “Yea, he’s not one of us anymore.” Comments like these are spoken often towards individuals desiring deeper spiritual walk. Exchanging sins for God’s laws is not a bad trade. Really- our gain is limitless.

Serious

How serious do we want situations turned around? God is faithful to us, how faithful are we to Him. Records are kept. Sin and lawless acts are removed, once forgiveness is sought. God’s covenant is sealed. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. We come into agreement with God’s covenant, accepting all fine print.

Fine Print

Most people never read the fine print, more aloof than serious. Yet, accusatory towards serious believers seeking/finding closer walks with Jesus. We are called to be holy. Jesus says to be holy, because He is holy. Jesus’s sacrifice made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

Freedom

The world does whatever they want. Within God’s laws, boundaries are set. We lose desire to do whatever we want as our minds conform and lives transform. As sin is removed and lawless acts are remembered no more- we have a new slate. Being serious, allows freedom to have fun. Freedom comes through Biblical Truth. Reading/studying God’s Word is like a fountain overflowing in our souls- gushing out cleansing our entire being.

Forward Friday!

Jesus died on the cross, the ultimate sin offering. He did this for us, how can we not become serious? Forward Friday! Moving Forward seeking and taking our faith serious.

Be encouraged!
