Prepared In Season and Out of Season: Time Is Now

Prepared In Season and Out of Season: Time Is NowPreach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage- with great patience and careful instruction. For a time will come…(2 Timothy 4:2,3 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Motivating Monday! 2 Timothy is our book for today. No where in today’s verse does is say- withdraw, be silent, compromise, or agree sin is acceptable. We are to be prepared. Time has come men and women reject sound doctrine. They find teachers/preachers to say what they want heard. Turning away from truth and turn towards myths.

Prepared

Being prepared is key to helping others from being deceived. Being prepared extends great patience. Once Biblical Truth has been established in our own life, we’re equipped to be careful with instruction. Self-righteous attitudes are the epitome to sinking ships. This stage most of us work through. We gain a bit of knowledge, have no idea how to handle discernment and it all comes out wrong even if honorable motives. It’s like watching a toddler learn to walk. They are somewhere between sipping milk and chewing meat, taking steps and falling.

Seasons

Let’s help brothers and sisters in Christ be prepared. Mature individuals help those trying to walk. We’re all standing in the middle of two people. One helping us mature and one we’re helping mature. Seasons come and seasons go- hard to believe it’s March 2nd. March flowers would be nice, except snow lingers. Seasons do not begin and end with defined date. Yes, we have dates defining official seasons, yet, this does not mean weather conditions will reflect. Weather conditions seem more uncertain.

 Uncertainty

Christians cannot chance uncertainty. There is no room for doubt, being tossed like waves in the ocean. Satan will try his best to cause hearts to compromise truth. When faced with someone we love, consider how much God loves them, too. Wavering truth will not help loved one. Presenting truth in love is how God defines love. I have no doubt- alignment with God’s Word is best way to be prepared out of season and in season. Let’s be motivated to be prepared!

Be encouraged!
