Truth: Overcome Deception, Don’t Be Deceived

Truth: Overcome Deception, Don't Be DeceivedDon’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. (James 1:16-18 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Motivating Monday! Breathe in- Breathe out. Our God is not dead, He is alive! Parenting is no easy task. Experiencing a child’s ungratefulness singed my heart as we celebrated Easter. While my heart simmered, the Holy Spirit politely nudged memories of my own ungrateful times toward our heavenly Father. We battle with God’s will. Why? Why is it so hard wanting what we want? As God looks down desiring to release good and perfect gifts.

Imagine…

Being a kind of first fruits of all God created is a tall order. Imagine life surrendered, aligned with God’s crystal clear plan. Filled with love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self- control. He works within each one equipping us for our own calling. We’re all made unique, fitting together like puzzle pieces in God’s grand plan here on earth.

Differences

Before this can happen, we trudge battle of self- will. Receiving new life through Word of truth, clarifies difference between God and world standards. God sets apart, the world blurs through deception. Deception is growing as individuals become clusters, growing in number inside churches. No longer seeking truth, seeking to justify sin. Deception is satan’s tool to steal, kill, and destroy. James warns not to be deceived.

Truth

I’ve tasted both sides of this float. One turns bitter after sweetness is skimmed off top. God’s Word is truth, never reflecting shifting shadows. More we seek Him, more we draw closer to holiness. Becoming part of the first fruits of all he created. Are you a competitive person? Want to race who can get there first? Sorry, no race. He desires to see each one seeking truth and not being deceived. Yes, you! He loves you.

Be encouraged!
