No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:7,8 NIV)
Understanding
If rulers and individuals around the world understood today, we would not be seeing milk and honey dry up. God’s wisdom develops with maturing faith. Taking that tiny mustard seed of faith, growing strong in the Lord. Oh, how we think we are strong and so wise, when we’ve failed to understand principles of faith.
Wisdom
Author Robin Jones Gunn, recently keynoted at Mt. Hermon Christian Writer’s Conference. Sharing her life experiences proved God’s thoughts are higher than ours and His ways are not our way. Her life story has ups and downs teaching “Blessings happen inside obedience.” Part of God’s obedience is to ask for wisdom. All we have to do is ask. He gives generously without finding fault.
Life
Gaining God’s wisdom, seeps into every aspect in life. We change actions by changing the way we think. We’ll begin to see difference in God’s wisdom from the world. God makes paths straight, avoiding detours set by the devil trying to harm. Satan deceives constantly roaming to see who he can devour.
Ready?
God’s Word, full of God’s wisdom is full of life giving principles. Before reading scripture, ask God for understanding, one of my key prayers. He is faithful. God’s wisdom helps application of scripture to be understood. Keep an open mind, asking God for wisdom. Watch obedience align and blessings flow. I stand amazed with this principle. If I had only started asking for God’s wisdom much earlier in life. How about you? Ready to see more blessings flow? Me, too!
