Bible Studying Accelerates God’s Purpose

Bible Studying Accelerates God's PurposeIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1,2 NIV)

Relationship

One of the highlights earlier in our marriage was counseling during Judgement House. As individuals came to our room, they made decisions to follow Jesus or become more serious in their relationship with Jesus. Understanding Jesus is the Word, the Word was God, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, develops a greater connection to our Bible.

Intertwining

I ponder lives lived intertwined with God’s power. There is a difference between acknowledging a Bible to studying and applying Biblical knowledge in daily life. It’s like watching the jitterbug vs. a slow dance. God’s power increases more we study our Bible. More we study, more wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is gained. Through studying, we begin to develop spiritual gifts. Each gift is unique to each calling. A purpose planned for you before your life began.

Accelerating

As God’s power increases, we begin to accelerate forward in God’s purpose for our lives. Should we be seeking and not moving forward, we’ll sound like a motor stalling. This irritable noise is no different than individuals stalling with God’s power. Potential energy remains unused. Does God love these individual less? No. Does God trust these individuals with more? The Parable of Talents listed in the Bible, answer this question. There were three servants each given a different amount of coins. The two that invested their talent, doubling their amounts, were praised. The one servant thinking he was doing good to hold onto his one, was called lazy. Actually…wicked, lazy servant. His master was not happy. Neither does this action please Jesus.

Bible Promises

Jesus promises to be closer than a brother. He proves himself faithful time again. Those who are faithful in little, will be trusted with much. Seeking and thirsting after righteousness draws us closer to Christ. As we draw closer, we desire to be the servant doubling our talents. We want to do more, more to bring Glory to God’s name. Are you ready to step out of comfort zones? Through studying our Bible, God’s power will become so real, able to accelerate His purpose through us- all to bring glory to His name. Ready to step up your dance moves?

Be encouraged!
