Training: Exercises Gaining Spiritual Strength

Training: Exercises Gaining Spiritual Strength“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?” (Matthew 25:37 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Motivating Monday! I will, I will, I will start exercising this week. Who is with me? I think I can, I think I can, Yes, I know we can. Of course, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Therefore, one of the greatest exercises for spiritual growth is training our eyes to see needs of others. Whatever we do for the least, we do for Christ.

Training

Training for spiritual growth is not much different than physical. More physical training we do, better our bodies operate inside and out. Spiritual training develops a greater sense of others, among gaining wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Both with goals set to meet.

Needs

This week, let’s find ways to feed the hungry, provide water for the thirsty, show kindness to strangers, supply clothes to those in need, help assist sick individuals, and visit someone in prison. Sometimes, no bars are necessary for one feeling imprisoned. These simple acts of service build spiritual muscle. My love language has been acts of service, some may think easy for me to say. I really do try to notice people’s needs. To the point, I have mistaken numerous identities. My two youngest children find funny.

Breakthrough

Breakthroughs happen, like an athlete breaks though a wall. We push outside comfort zones, gaining confidence, trusting God more. When faithful in little things, God sees we can be faithful with much. When Jesus says “I tell you the truth,” We lean in a little closer and take to heart- now that hearts are free of clutter. Jesus says, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

Accomplishments

Physical training produces great feelings of accomplishments. Same for spiritual, know whatever we do helping the least, we are doing for God. There is no greater feeling. Feeling motivated? Let the training begin!

Be encouraged!
