Unique Calling + God’s Power = Smooth

So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6 NIV)

Unique

Unique items/situations capture our attention. We’ll marvel over something that heightens our attention. This happens between individuals all the time. Often wondering how someone can receive extraordinary. It begins with genuine happiness. A cheerful heart is good medicine. Now, this we’d welcome in epidemic proportions. More cheerful hearts, healthier people.

Cheerful

Being more cheerful allows air to permeate. Brings clarity of mind, softens heart to understand. Because…satan’s grip has lessoned losing control, freeing ourselves to be free in Christ. Then we understand when Jesus says- it’s not by might nor by our power, but by my Spirit. I am a nobody, completely limted in ability without Jesus Christ. It is through God’s power creating unique blessings for each one who believes.

Power

Has God placed something on your mind lately, feet dragging to complete? It makes sense in the brain, yet, cannot get feet moving forward. The thing is- this is not about us at all. It is about God’s power working through us in order to produce unique situations inquiring minds want to know.

Strength

We are no different from Zerubbabel. We are people with jobs to do. His task to rebuild the fallen temple, a unique calling. No one could have laid the foundation like Zerubbabel. Seeing God work through individuals, brings glory back to him. If not possible by our own strength, we know it is God’s strength working through us.

Smooth

Me personally, I freeze learning technical advancements. My son has given me fair warning. When he goes to college- a little over a year away, I need to be proficient with google docs. Looks like he needs his mom after all. I love serving the Lord. To be trusted to encourage each of you with Biblical truth, is amazing. Learning my computer pushes outside of comfort zone. To combine unique call with God’s power, everything flows smooth. Are you ready for everything to flow smooth? Start with checking heart- cheerful? Mind- clear? Heart- understanding? Take unique calling combined with God’s power- smooth!
