Informed: Seeking Truth, Gaining Knowledge

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. (Hosea 4:6 ESV)

Moving Forward

Forward Friday! Who wants to look backwards? Not me, I am ready to be informed and move beyond, learning from past. The key word is learning- being informed. If we fail to learn from past, same mistakes will continue. The old saying…keep doing the same thing, keep getting the same results. This creates ruts, when we really want to soar.

Interesting…

The political debate last night was interesting. I agree- we do have wonderful potential candidates from this party. My prayer…”God, remove anyone that is not suppose to be there.” Clutter creates confusion and we may miss the one God has ordained. God is a Redeemer. He cares about our every need and He cares about our country.

Knowledge

People really do perish for lack of knowledge. Freedom has slipped while many remain indifferent. We have to stay informed on current issues. Satan has enjoyed watching all conflict over social issues. While vital happenings around the world and in our own country have been missed. Allowing more deterioration from our solid foundation.

Ideas

When Ben Carson applied a Biblical principle connected to a flat tax idea- I thought right then- that will work. Would anyone dismiss Joseph’s idea saving Egypt during years of famine. For seven years of abundance they saved 20%  of the harvest each year. His plan worked to perfection. It saved a nation. Why would we not think- God is generating ideas in someone to save our nation?

Informed

I personally liked several candidates. If I had not watched, I would not know about Ohio’s success. We’re certainly going to learn more about Carly Fiorina. For what ever political affiliation you seek, be informed. Is it wise to vote for someone supporting issues clearly going against Biblical Truth? I would say…no. However, how will we know Biblical Truth, unless we seek, desiring truth.

Victory

Do we really want to move forward? I say this with love, we have to pray God opens our ears, eyes, and heart to gain knowledge in order to help sustain our country in days ahead. Please do not be indifferent. Let’s seek God and pray His choice candidate will rise to victory. Gaining knowledge allows peace during months leading to next Presidential election. To God be all glory for He is King and great things will come as we become informed.
