Love: Confident in God’s Way, Sweet Peace

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

Happy Valentine’s Weekend! This weekend will be filled with expressions of love. Have you sat with a flower- he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me. The magnitude of who God is- sends some individuals through yo- yo thoughts about God’s love. God does not just love Christians, He loves the world. If He loves the world, He definitely loves those who believe.

Forever

Jesus sent to earth, born a virgin birth, carried His cross, endured death…all for me, you, and all mankind. That whoever believes in Jesus will never perish, having eternal life forever and ever. Eternity is a long time…it’s forever. This thought will always stop me in my tracks. We cannot imagine the scope of what forever entails. Easy enough to picture Buzz Light Year to infinity and beyond, yet not the human race.

Believe 

To believe is the first step. In James 2:19 He says, you believe that there is one God, Good! Even the demons believe that- and shudder. The demons understand God’s sovereignty and do not take it lightly. Bringing awareness to deception, there is nothing I want more than to honor God with actions and thoughts. It goes beyond believing, it’s a commitment to seek and grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. We do this by reading/studying our Bibles. More we study, more we understand Biblical principles.

Love

I’m confident, more individuals read/study their own Bible, more knowledge and understanding will be gained. And…a decrease in societal confusion. Bible studies are a great source. The other day, I commented how refreshing it was to rise engaged with God’s thoughts and His ways. It’s refreshing due to years of hard work. Are you willing to work hard? I would have never thought in the middle of my pity parties and rejecting God’s will, that peace in His perfect will is so sweet. It’s this sweet for you, too! Enjoy your weekend!
